| to Snareline, yes they are made of kevlar and no the MX heads are high-tension heads so with a low-tension drum you will not get much of a sound from them. they more likely will just make a blank thud if that at full tension on the drum. you will break the lugs before the head would sound any good. |

| They get their materials from the same sources. So if you can find an assembly difference, use that to decide. If not, throw a dart, toss a coin, you get the idea. Roy Burns told me that on the phone (when I was doing research for this awesome head comparison chart I made for this site). Even he admitted there are no inherent differences in the head materials, just the assembly. He IS Aquarian BTW.

| We use Evans where I teach at SHHS. Although, we're about to switch to Remo BlackMax for the snares, everything else is staying Evans. I do like the sound of pinstripes on tenors, but they pull pretty easily and don't last very long. In the Raven's drumline, we use Remo. Personally, I think the Evans tune more easily, but tone wise they are fairly close.
