| Queens of the Stone Age - Live! In Melbourne Just got home from seeing Queens of the Stone Age at the metro bar in Melbourne, Australia (for those of you who didn't know where I come from) First off I want to congratulate them on an excellent performance, they played a great variety of songs spanning across all of their albums, and didn't focus too much on their latest album, which is a rare occurance from bands if you ask me. They played a long enough set, and even jammed for a bit, and in true Φ.o.t.S.A fashion josh even yelled at one of the roadies for knocking the bass amp out of the power plug haha. The only downer I have for the night is that the crowd were a bit stupid, there was a guy smoking marijuana next to me, and some other guy croaming some plastic fumes, which made me feel dizzy. I also got strangled by a guy who thought I hit him, and I think when he realized how small I was he knew it wasn't me haha. Still, it was a great concert and they ended on my favourite song, 'Song for the Dead', Joey Castillo is a brilliant drummer who has great stage presence and Joshua Homme is an enigma all by himself.
