Wood sticks are where its at. I've been using the Vic Firth Dave Weckl's and I've gone through maybe 2 pairs after 6 months. Not bad at all.

I play 3 gigs and 1-2 practices per week. At shows I hit fairly hard (nearing too hard) and I go through a pair of ProMark Ringo Starr's a week. Rimshots don't help anything.
